Columbus Day / Indigenous People's Day - No School

Posted Date: 10/10/25 (9:00 AM)

This is a friendly reminder that there will be no school for students on Monday, October 13, in observance of Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day. This federal holiday honors two important aspects of our nation’s history: the arrival of Christopher Columbus in the Americas in 1492 and, more recently, the rich cultures, histories, and contributions of Indigenous peoples who lived on this land long before European explorers arrived. We hope your family enjoys a safe and meaningful day together. Classes will resume on Tuesday, October 14. Thank you for your continued partnership with Newfane Central School District.
