Help Us Celebrate Staff Appreciation Week at Newfane Elementary! 🎉

Dear Newfane Elementary Families,

Staff Appreciation Week is right around the corner, and we’re so excited to celebrate the incredible adults who care for, support, and inspire our students every single day! From May 5-9, we’ll be honoring our teachers, instructional associates, clerical staff, related service providers, custodians, bus drivers, and our school nurse with a special theme each day—and we would love your help to make it extra meaningful!

Our theme this year is “Snack, Sip, & Celebrate”—a fun way to show our appreciation through small daily treats and thoughtful gestures. Here’s what we have planned:

🍪 Monday – Sweet Start
Freshly baked cookies will roll through the building on a treat cart to start the week with smiles.
🥯 Tuesday – Bagel Boost
We’ll be hosting a bagel breakfast for staff to fuel up for the day.
🥨 Wednesday – Crunch Time
We’ll offer a variety of crunchy, salty, and savory snacks to help staff power through midweek.
🌺 Thursday – Sip, Smile, and Say Aloha
Our Hawaiian-themed hydration station and wellness table will offer refreshing drinks and self-care surprises.
🍽️ Friday – Feast Fit for the Best
We’re inviting families to donate dishes for a staff luncheon—our grand finale feast to wrap up the week!

In addition to the food and festivities, we encourage families to send in thank-you notes, drawings, or small tokens of appreciation for all of the adults who play a role in your child’s school day—this includes classroom teachers, special education teachers, related service providers (such as speech, OT, PT), instructional associates, clerical staff, bus drivers, and custodians. A kind word or a handmade card goes a long way in showing how much they are valued!
