American Red Cross Lifeguard Training                     

 

Lifeguard Certification includes CPR/AED/FPR, First Aid
and Lifeguard Training.
 
Dates & Times: Please check back for future dates and times
Location: Lockport YMCA
Cost: $110.00 includes current textbook and pocket mask
Registration: at the Lockport YMCA
Prerequisites: >Must be able to swim 100 yds in freestyle, 100 yds in 
  breaststroke, & 100 yds a combination of both strokes.
>Retrieve a 10 lb brick at 8 feet deep and swim back to the  
  shallow end in 1 minute and 40 seconds.
>Must attend all class time
>Must be at least 16 yrs of age & attend all class times.
Class size is limited to no less then 6 trainees.  You will receive a book & mask.

The Newfane Central School District offers swim Lessons, hosts birthday parties and
other private parties.  Lifeguards are required at all swimming events.
 
Students will need this course to be considered for a lifeguard position.
