Wildlife Festival

If you look closely at the attached flyer, you will notice our school’s name listed as contributors to the Power Vista’s Wildlife Festival that is scheduled for this Saturday and Sunday.  Student artwork and decorations that were on display in our school last May for our Wild About the Earth Festival have been hung at the Power Vista by Mrs. Ludwig and Mrs. Gaskill.

Admission and parking are free for this event and driving directions are included.  This is a wonderful opportunity for families to spend the day together and to participate in the wide range of demonstrations and activities.  All of the activities support our Science curriculum and will allow students some “hands on” participation while having fun.  And of course, don’t forget to go into the Power Vista to view our school’s contribution!

PTSA Reflections Program

This year’s Reflections Program is going to be better than ever!  The theme for the program is “WOW!”.  So what is WOW to your child?

On October 14th your child will be bringing home a packet, which will include the rules and entry form for the Reflections program.  If you child will be participating in the program, the deadline for entries will be November 3rd.  The participants of this year’s program who will be moving to the next round of competition will be notified during the first week of December.  All participants will be honored at the Reflections ceremony after the holidays. (Date to be announced.)

Start thinking of what is WOW to you.  After receiving your packet on October 14th, feel free to contact me, Jenee Kowalik at 778-5183 or by email at mejrkimproving06@yahoo.com with any questions or concerns.  (J. Kowalik / PTSA)
