Every
morning at Newfane Intermediate School the students take a few
minutes to watch and listen to the morning announcements
broadcast over the Newfane Television Network. The
announcers, who are assisted by Robyn Wolf, Dean of Students,
read the latest school news, give the lunch menu, announce
birthdays and in general help the entire school start the day
in a special way.
Announcing

The Newfane Television Network elevates instructional technology to
a new level by integrating digital and analog media into the
classroom through a simple web browser interface. The network gives
teachers access to and control over a wide range of educational
media resources including: VHS tapes, DVDs, cable channels, video
broadcasts from anywhere within the school district, a district-wide
video bulletin board, and individual building video bulletin
boards. Teachers now have the additional flexibility of integrating
their laptop computers with the video system. |
